Wayô Records have announced that they are releasing the soundtrack to action-platformer Magician Lord on vinyl for the game’s 30th anniversary.
The release will include the soundtrack as well as a brand new 10-minute piano arrangement.
The release will be a single LP on 180g “cristal mistyrose” clear vinyl. It will be housed in a regular LP jacket with game art. The first 150 preorders will also include a signed shikishi print with an illustration by Eisuke Ogura.
Earlier this month Brave Wave announced that they will be releasing the soundstracks to the entire The King Of Fighters series on vinyl – starting with The King Of Fighters ’98.
The release will be a 2LP housed in a gatefold jacket with game art. It will include a booklet with artwork and liner notes from the people involved with the game.
There will be a standard black variant as well as a limited edition orange and grey colored vinyl signed by composer Hideki “sha-v” Asanaka.
As announced previously this past week, Brave Wave have now opened up preorders for the vinyl soundtracks to the latest installment in the legendary beat-’em-up series Streets Of Rage as well as the classic fighting game Fatal Fury: King Of Fighters.
The Streets Of Rage 4 soundtrack will be a 180g 3LP set. It appears to be housed in a box set (although this is not confirmed) that will feature new artwork by Hitoshi Ariga and Ayano Koshiro. It will include a booklet featuring interviews with all the composers, Hitoshi Ariga, Ayano Koshiro, and several members of the game’s development team.
It will be available on standard black vinyl as well as on a red, blue and white colored vinyl limited set. The limited set is signed by composers Olivier Derivière and Yuzo Koshiro and is limited to 1000 copies.
The Fatal Fury soundtrack will be a single 150g LP. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with game art. It will include a booklet featuring artwork and liner notes.
It will be available on standard black vinyl as well as on a silver colored vinyl limited edition. The limit set is signed by composer TARKAN and artist Youichiro Soeda and is limited to 400 copies.
Both releases will include a digital download code for the full digital soundtracks to their respective game.

The release will be a 180g 2LP housed in printed inner sleeves within a gatefold jacket with game art. The first pressing will be on red translucent with white splatter colored vinyl.
Early preorders from Wayô Records will also come with a signed shikishi art print with an illustration by SNK artist Tonko.
Preorders for Brave Wave’s next entry in their Generation Series – the soundtrack to the Neo Geo and Neo Geo CD versions of Samurai Shodown – are about to go live.
The release will be a 3LP on black, white and red vinyl. It will be housed in a two-piece box set and will also come with a booklet with interviews and liner notes. A download card will also be included.
300 copies will also be available with an art print signed by series creator Yasushi Adachi and composer Norio Tate.
The regular edition is priced at $50, while the signed is priced at $60. It is scheduled to ship in 1-3 months.

The release will be a 2LP on red marbled vinyl. It comes in a gatefold jacket with game art and printed inner sleeves. The first print run is limited to 500 copies. In addition, the first 150 preorders will also include a shikishi art print signed by Saji Yumi and Hiroshi Yamasoe.
Brave Wave have just opened up orders for two new game soundtracks. One is for the 1995 Neo Geo game Pulstar and the other is for the new PSVR game Jupiter & Mars.
Pulstar will be a 2LP on black vinyl. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with never-before released artwork from the game’s development on the outer jacket and original game art on the inner. It will include a booklet with artwork and interviews from people involved with the game. 150 signed copies will be made available (75 for US/Canada distro and 75 for European/ROW distro).
Jupiter & Mars will be a 2LP on black vinyl. It appears to be housed in a gatefold jacket with art by Arkotype. It will also include a booklet with interviews.
Both are priced at $35 and are scheduled to being shipping in early September, 2019.
Earlier this week Brave Wave announced that preorders would be opening for their Art Of Fighting 2 The Definitive Soundtrack. This will also be a new entry in their Generation Series.
The release will be a 2LP with one record on clear vinyl and the other on orange translucent vinyl. It will come in a gatefold jacket with artwork by Shinkiro taken from SNK’s archives. It will include a booklet with interviews and liner notes, as well as a digital download code.
Additionally, a small number of copies will be signed by Yasuyuki Oda and Youichiro Soed.
Brave Wave did announce that they would have news on Art of Fighting and Plague of Shadows soon, but now they are already available to preorder alongside the recently announced soundtrack for République.
Art of Fighting will be a single LP on blue vinyl. It’s housed in a gatefold jacket with artwork sourced from SNK’s archives. It includes a detailed booklet with interviews from people who worked on the game as well as a download card for a digital copy of the soundtrack.
Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows will be a single LP on green vinyl. It is housed in a gatefold jacket with new artwork by Hitoshi Ariga. It also includes a booklet with interviews.
République will be a single LP on black vinyl. It is housed in a gatefold jacket. It includes a booklet where the development team writes about the game and the music. It also includes a download card for a digital copy of the soundtrack AND a digital copy of the upcoming VR version of the game.
Art of Fighting and Plague of Shadows will be part of Brave Wave’s Generation Series.
A few days back Data Discs announced that they will be partnering with SNK to bring Takushi Hiyamuta’s Metal Slug soundtrack to vinyl. This will be their first release with a game company other than Sega and it sounds like there are more to come.
The release will be single LP housed in a gatefold jacket featuring artwork from SNK’s archives. The album also features two lithographic inserts, and a special translucent OBI strip. The release also comes with a download code for a digital copy of the remastered album.
As usual Data Discs will offer three different color variants – a limited edition variant on orange, clear & yellow tricolor with white splatter, a yellow opaque variant, and a classic black variant.
The release will be priced at £21 and is scheduled to release in late November 2017.
