A few days ago – on November 3, 2017 – The Yetee announced that they will be releasing the first of R23X’s tracks for the game EarthCade on vinyl.
What is EarthCade exactly? It’s an in-development game worked on on and off as a passion project, so there’s no clear release date. It’s also a new brand from The Yetee consisting of clothing and accessories where 10% of all sales go to wildlife preservation charities.
The vinyl release will be a 7″ on green vinyl housed in a 7″ jacket with artwork by Drew Wise. It will be a pressing of 250 copies.
It is priced at $13 and is scheduled to release in December 2017. 10% of all sales go to the Wildlife Preservation Society.
Today iam8bit announced that they will be releasing Maclaine Diemer, Wilbert Roget II, Brendon Williams, and Stan LePard’s music for Guild Wars: Path of Fire on vinyl.
The release will be a 2LP on fuchsia splatter vinyl. It’s housed in a gatefold jacket with the game’s logo in holographic print (similar to Heart of Thorns) on the front and game art inside the gatefold.
It is priced at $40 and is scheduled to release in Q1 2018.
Brave Wave did announce that they would have news on Art of Fighting and Plague of Shadows soon, but now they are already available to preorder alongside the recently announced soundtrack for République.
Art of Fighting will be a single LP on blue vinyl. It’s housed in a gatefold jacket with artwork sourced from SNK’s archives. It includes a detailed booklet with interviews from people who worked on the game as well as a download card for a digital copy of the soundtrack.
Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows will be a single LP on green vinyl. It is housed in a gatefold jacket with new artwork by Hitoshi Ariga. It also includes a booklet with interviews.
République will be a single LP on black vinyl. It is housed in a gatefold jacket. It includes a booklet where the development team writes about the game and the music. It also includes a download card for a digital copy of the soundtrack AND a digital copy of the upcoming VR version of the game.
Art of Fighting and Plague of Shadows will be part of Brave Wave’s Generation Series.
Black Screen Records just announced that they will be releasing David Housden’s soundtrack to the game Thomas Was Alone on vinyl.
The release will be single 180g LP in two color variants – red or black vinyl. It is housed in a regular record jacket with artwork by Dane Baudoin. It includes a download code for a digital copy of the album.
A few days back Data Discs announced that they will be partnering with SNK to bring Takushi Hiyamuta’s Metal Slug soundtrack to vinyl. This will be their first release with a game company other than Sega and it sounds like there are more to come.
The release will be single LP housed in a gatefold jacket featuring artwork from SNK’s archives. The album also features two lithographic inserts, and a special translucent OBI strip. The release also comes with a download code for a digital copy of the remastered album.
As usual Data Discs will offer three different color variants – a limited edition variant on orange, clear & yellow tricolor with white splatter, a yellow opaque variant, and a classic black variant.
The release will be priced at £21 and is scheduled to release in late November 2017.
It was originally teased in a newsletter back in April, but now it’s here – Spacelab9 is releasing Jeremy Soule’s acclaimed soundtrack for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on vinyl.
The release will be a box set with 4 LPs on “Dragonborn” silver-grey with black splatter. The records will be housed in a quad-fold jacket inside a thick cardboard slipcase. The final side on disc 4 features an etching of the game’s dragon logo.
If you’re lucky enough to be at New York Comic-Con this weekend (October 5-8, 2017) Spacelab9 will be selling an exclusive “Sweet Roll” variant on orange & white merge colored vinyl.
The release is priced at $80 and is scheduled to start shipping shortly.
The brand new game soundtrack label Minimum Records announced their first two vinyl releases – Future Unfolding and Lightfield. The soundtrack to Future Unfolding is composed by Thomas Carleberg and Emil Nilsson, and the Lightfield soundtrack is composed by Zanshin.
The Future Unfolding release will be a single 180g clear vinyl LP and comes in a die-cut gatefold jacket. The Lightfield release will be a heavyweight 2LP. Artwork for both releases have been done by Anouvong Southiphong.
Future Unfolding is priced at £28 and is scheduled to release in December 2017. Lightfield is priced at £35 is scheduled for an early 2018 release.
The box set – which will be the biggest video game vinyl box set ever – features the full soundtracks to all three Dark Souls games including DLC tracks. The Dark Souls soundtrack will be a 2LP on blue marbled vinyl, Dark Souls II will be a 4LP on red marbled vinyl, and Dark Souls III will be a 3LP on green marbled vinyl.
The records will be housed in three record jackets – one for each game, and these jackets will be housed in a box. The box set is limited to 2000 copies and will be sold exclusively in the EMEA region.
