iam8bit have just announced that they will be releasing Jonathan Geer’s soundtrack to the game Owlboy on vinyl.
It will be a 2LP on 180g “cloudy sky”-colored vinyl. It comes in a gatefold cover with new artwork by Nicole Gustafsson. It also comes with a digital download for the soundtrack.
It is priced at $35 and scheduled for a Q2 2017 release. Preorders will open on March 23, 2017 via iam8bit’s US store here and their UK/EU store here.
As announced on Mondo’s blog a few days ago, orders for Konami Kukeiha Club’s soundtrack to Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse are now live.
The release will be a 2LP on 180g colored vinyl. It comes in a gatefold cover with brand new artwork done by Sachin Teng. There will be two color variants – a split variant with colors based on game characters (limited to 1000 copies) and an orange translucent with black and white splatter (limited to 2500 copies).
Disc 1 on the album will feature the NES soundtrack, while Disc 2 features the Famicom (VRC6 chip) soundtrack. Both will be newly mastered for this vinyl release by James Plotkin.
Orders are open now via Mondo’s webstore and they are expected to ship out soon.
The stealth horror game 2Dark’s soundtrack by Samuel Safa is getting released on vinyl by G4F Records.
The album will be a single LP on red translucent vinyl with black splatter. It comes in a standard jacket with new artwork by Rudy Wilde.
Since it’s being sold via Bandcamp it also comes with an instant download of the digital soundtrack. It’s worth noting that some of the vinyl tracks are exclusive to the vinyl version, but some digital tracks are not included on the vinyl version either.
It is scheduled to release on July 17, 2017. The album can be preordered now via Bandcamp.
iam8bit have announced that they are collaborating with Materia Collective on a series of video game music piano cover albums titled Series 88.
The first release in this series will be piano covers of Toby Fox’ Undertale soundtrack. The arrangements for the covers are done by David Peacock and performed by Augstine Mayuga Gonzales.
The album will be a 2LP on 180g cream white and red vinyl. The cover art will be done by Andy DeGiulio and is an homage to classic piano and jazz covers. This art style will supposedly be present throughout this series of piano releases.
Preorders placed before March 19, 2017 comes with a chance to win a copy of the Annoying Dog Song 7″, which was originally released together with the Undertale Soundtrack.

The official Warframe site posted an announcement today saying that they’ve partnered with iam8bit for merchandise – which includes a vinyl release of the game’s soundtrack.
The release will be a 2LP on 180g “custom oxblood” vinyl and comes in a gatefold cover with new art by Patricio Betteo. It also includes a digital download of the soundtrack.
The soundtrack is composed by Keith Power and George Spanos and was given a full remaster specifically for this vinyl release.
It is priced at $36and is scheduled to release in Q2 2017. Preorders will open on March 17, 2017 via iam8bit’s US store here and their UK/EU store here.
Out of nowhere a listing has appeared on iam8bit’s webstore for the Planet Coaster soundtrack by Jim Guthrie and JJ Ipsen. Guthrie had previously hinted about a vinyl release of this on his Twitter account, but these are the first specifics announced.
The release will be a 2LP on “day-turns-to-night” blue and red vinyl. It comes in a gatefold cover with the discs housed in printed inner sleeves, and with all new artwork by Syd Weiler. It also comes with a digital download for the soundtrack.
People who order before March 19 will get an extra bonus in the shape of a limited edition slipmat.

Spacelab9 recently announced on social media that they will be releasing previously unreleased music made by Ola Strandh for Tom Clancy’s The Division.
The release will be titled “Exclusive Music From Tom Clancy’s The Division”. It will be a 2LP and comes in a gatefold cover with game art. There’s no info on color options, but from an eBay listing for a signed copy from the game’s development studio, it’s clear that there will be a black vinyl version.
The album will go up for sale via Thinkgeek.com tomorrow March 10, 2017 and is expected to start shipping out shortly after.
This is probably old news to some as a listing for “Fight Songs: The Music of Team Fortress 2” appeared on Amazon around a month ago. But that listing did not include any details on the release other than its title, the label releasing it (Ipecac Recordings) and later also its artwork.
So what’s new? Well, there’s finally an official listing for the release with more details. It will be a 2LP on blue and red vinyl, it will come in a gatefold jacket and will include a poster, a download card for the digital soundtrack, and a game code.
Orders placed through the official merchandise store will get the option to choose between 5 different posters. It’s unclear if orders purchased elsewhere will also come with a poster.
The soundtrack is composed by Mike Morasky and performed by the Valve Studio Orchestra.
The album is scheduled to release on April 21, 2017 and is priced at $35. It can be preordered via the official merch store, Revolt., here. It is also available to preorder from several regional Amazon stores as well as from many independent record stores.
Data Discs have announced the release of the Galaxy Force II and Thunder Blade soundtracks on vinyl. Both soundtracks will be included on a single LP with a side dedicated to each.
The release will be a 180g LP housed in a 425gsm jacket with Data Discs’ trademark OBI and a lithographic Galaxy Force II print from Sega’s archives.
Data Discs will have three different color variants of this release available – a classic black variant, a yellow translucent variant, and a limited edition yellow translucent-in-frosted clear with white splatter variant.
The recordings will be from the games’ arcade soundtracks and have been sourced directly from original arcade hardware and then mastered for vinyl.
Preorders for this title will open on Saturday March 4, 2017 via Data Discs website and it is expected to ship late March, 2017.
The Yetee have announced that they will be releasing a 7″ with four tracks from Pete Ellison’s #Breakforicst soundtrack.
The 7″ comes on white vinyl in a regular 7″ jacket with artwork in the style of the game. Also included is a digital download code for the music.
Pre-orders for this title open via The Yetee on March 1, 2017 – the same date that the game will lauch on iOS.
