Awesomenauts 2LP release can be backed on Qrates

Composer SonicPicnic have launched a Qrates crowdfunding campaign for a vinyl release of their soundtrack to the 2D MOBA game Awesomenauts.

The campaign launched yesterday, June 24 and will end on August 14, 2020. It will require a minimum of 100 backers to succeed.

If successful, the release will be a 2LP on black vinyl. It will be housed in a regular single-pocket jacket with new artwork by Ronimo Games’ designers.

If the campaign hits 200 or more backers they will upgrade to a gatefold jacket, and if it hits 300 or more backers they will make it a picture disc release.

It is priced at €30 (excl. tax) and is set to release 2-3 months after the campaign ends. It can be backed on Qrates here.

Wai Wai World 1+2 now available to order from Ship To Shore

Originally announced more than 2 years ago there are now details and orders up for Ship To Shore’s vinyl release of the soundtracks to Konami Wai Wai World and Konami Wai Wai World 2: SOS!! Parsley Castle.

The soundtrack to both games are essentially Konami 8-Bit greatest hits as it features numerous themes from a large variety of Konami games arranged for the Wai Wai World Famicom games.

The release is a 2LP and will be housed in a gatefold jacket with brand new artwork by Mike Luckas and liner notes by Anthony John Agnello. It will be available on yellow colored vinyl directly from Ship To Shore while Black Screen Records will be getting an exclusive yellow & clear split with red splatter vinyl.

It is priced at $35 (€40 from Black Screen) and is scheduled to release in early July, 2020. It can be preordered from Ship To Shore PhonoCo.’s store here and from Black Screen Record here.

Deus Ex Remixed vinyl album from Materia Collective up for preorder

Materia Collective have just announced that they will be releasing Conspiravision: Deus Ex Remixed on vinyl. It is an album where original Deus Ex composers Alexander Brandon and Michiel van den Bos returns to remix the soundtrack 20 years later.

The release will be a 2LP with one record on pink/purple/black swirl and the other on clear vinyl. It will be housed in a “holographic” gatefold jacket with artwork by Lukasz Sienkiewicz and product design by Rozen.

It is priced at $45 and is scheduled to release in Q1 2021. It can be preordered from Materia Collective’s Bandcamp here.

Wave Break EP now available from NewRetroWave

NewRetroWave have just announced that they are releasing an EP for the “skateboating” game Wave Break titled “Wave Break: High Tides” on vinyl.

The release will be a 12″ 45RPM EP on orange marbled vinyl. The record will be high duty jacket with gloss finish featuring artwork by Signalnoise. It will be limited to 150 copies.

It is priced at $21 and is scheduled to release around September 17, 2020. It can be preordered via NewRetroWave’s Bandcamp here.

Outer Wilds double vinyl up for preorder from iam8bit

iam8bit have just announced that they will be releasing the soundtrack to the space adventure game Outer Wilds on vinyl (and that’s WILDS and not Worlds).

The release will be a black vinyl 2LP. It will be housed in a cloth-wrapped tip-on gatefold jacket with new artwork by Ian Jacobson.

It is priced at $40 and is scheduled to release in Q3 2020. It can be preordered from iam8bit here as a standalone vinyl or along with a physical copy of the game for PS4.

Distant Worlds IV available to order on vinyl now

There’s been unavailable listings on Amazon for some time now, but the fourth entry in the Distant Worlds series of orchestral Final Fantasy albums can now be ordered on vinyl.

IV features arrangements of music from Final Fantasy III-IX and XII-XV.

The release will be a 2LP on clear vinyl. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with photos and liner notes.

It is priced at $35. It looks like the first batch sold out, but that it will ship again from June 28, 2020. It can be ordered on Amazon here.

Minecraft Volume Beta to be released on vinyl via Ghostly

Ghostly International have just today announced that they are releasing Volume Beta of the Minecraft soundtrack on vinyl.

The release will be a 2LP available in multiple variants. Ghostly themselves will have a “fire” red with yellow splatter colored vinyl as well as black vinyl, both available with or without a lenticular jacket.

It appears that there are exclusive color variants coming from Turntable Lab and Vinyl Me, Please as well.

The price ranges between $23-$34 depending on what variant you’re after. It is scheduled to release around August 14, 2020.

VirtuaVerse soundtrack now available to preorder from Blood Music

It was revealed last week that the soundtrack to cyberpunk point and click adventure VirtuaVerse would be released on vinyl by Blood Music and today they have opened preorders.

The release will be a 180g 2LP available in three color variants – a purple opaque (limited to 150 copies), a blue opaque (limited to 200 copies), and a standard black. It will be housed in a heavyweight single-pocket jacket with layout by Valenberg.

The album is priced at €28/$28 and is scheduled to ship on or around August 28, 2020.

Alien Storm and Alien Soldier to be released by Data Discs

Data Discs have been quiet for some time, but are now back with new vinyl releases for two Mega Drive soundtracks at once – the beat ’em up/shooter Alien Storm and the side scrolling run-and-gun Alien Soldier.

Alien Storm will be a single 180g LP cut at 45RPM. It will be available in three different color variants – a limited edition “seafoam” green translucent with “slime” green and brown splatter variant, a “slime” green variant, and a classic black variant.

It will be housed in a heavy single-pocket jacket with game art featuring embossed and spot varnished tentacles. It comes with a lithographic print.

Alien Soldier will be a 180g 2LP. It will also be available in three different color variants – a limited edition blue, frosted clear and grey tricolor with splatter variant, a grey opaque variant, and a classic black variant.

It will be housed in a heavy single-pocket jacket with game art. It comes with a fold-out poster and early orders will also include a set of three laminated character post cards.

Alien Storm is priced at £21 and Alien Soldier at £26. Both are scheduled to release no later than July 15, 2020.
