I don’t normally do news posts for Kickstarters as there’s some uncertainty related to whether or not they’ll happen – but this is a big one, so I’m making an exception!
Ever since the release of the game, the Hotline Miami soundtrack fans have requested that the soundtrack receives a vinyl release. And the demand and interest only increased after the game’s sequel received a vinyl release last year.
Now it can finally happen! In collaboration with Dennaton Games and Devolver Digital, the label Laced Records have launched a Kickstarter for an official 3LP release of the original Hotline Miami OST + 4 bonus tracks.
The records come on a color each – one black, one red, one yellow – and will come in a triple gatefold cover with brand new artwork by Niklas Akerblad and Protski.
Laced Records is aiming for a £40,000 goal on Kickstarter to make this happen. If it succeeds a first pressing of 5000 copies will be made. Early bird pledges is £30 and when those are out it will be £35. Additional tiers are available for extra Hotline Miami goodies as well.
