Black Screen Records just announced that they will be releasing David Housden’s soundtrack to the game Thomas Was Alone on vinyl.
The release will be single 180g LP in two color variants – red or black vinyl. It is housed in a regular record jacket with artwork by Dane Baudoin. It includes a download code for a digital copy of the album.
A few days back Data Discs announced that they will be partnering with SNK to bring Takushi Hiyamuta’s Metal Slug soundtrack to vinyl. This will be their first release with a game company other than Sega and it sounds like there are more to come.
The release will be single LP housed in a gatefold jacket featuring artwork from SNK’s archives. The album also features two lithographic inserts, and a special translucent OBI strip. The release also comes with a download code for a digital copy of the remastered album.
As usual Data Discs will offer three different color variants – a limited edition variant on orange, clear & yellow tricolor with white splatter, a yellow opaque variant, and a classic black variant.
The release will be priced at £21 and is scheduled to release in late November 2017.
It was originally teased in a newsletter back in April, but now it’s here – Spacelab9 is releasing Jeremy Soule’s acclaimed soundtrack for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on vinyl.
The release will be a box set with 4 LPs on “Dragonborn” silver-grey with black splatter. The records will be housed in a quad-fold jacket inside a thick cardboard slipcase. The final side on disc 4 features an etching of the game’s dragon logo.
If you’re lucky enough to be at New York Comic-Con this weekend (October 5-8, 2017) Spacelab9 will be selling an exclusive “Sweet Roll” variant on orange & white merge colored vinyl.
The release is priced at $80 and is scheduled to start shipping shortly.
The brand new game soundtrack label Minimum Records announced their first two vinyl releases – Future Unfolding and Lightfield. The soundtrack to Future Unfolding is composed by Thomas Carleberg and Emil Nilsson, and the Lightfield soundtrack is composed by Zanshin.
The Future Unfolding release will be a single 180g clear vinyl LP and comes in a die-cut gatefold jacket. The Lightfield release will be a heavyweight 2LP. Artwork for both releases have been done by Anouvong Southiphong.
Future Unfolding is priced at £28 and is scheduled to release in December 2017. Lightfield is priced at £35 is scheduled for an early 2018 release.
The box set – which will be the biggest video game vinyl box set ever – features the full soundtracks to all three Dark Souls games including DLC tracks. The Dark Souls soundtrack will be a 2LP on blue marbled vinyl, Dark Souls II will be a 4LP on red marbled vinyl, and Dark Souls III will be a 3LP on green marbled vinyl.
The records will be housed in three record jackets – one for each game, and these jackets will be housed in a box. The box set is limited to 2000 copies and will be sold exclusively in the EMEA region.
Earlier this month Square Enix announced that they would be releasing the soundtracks to NieR Gestalt/Replicant and NieR: Automata on vinyl – and now preorders are here.
Three different releases have been planned. A NieR: Gestalt & Replicant 2LP and a NieR: Automata 2LP release. Both come on black vinyl and are housed in jackets with artwork by Ishida Sui.
Additionally, they will be releasing a box set with both aforementioned releases. So far it appears that the box itself is the only difference in that set.
The two 2LP sets will be priced at 3600 Yen each, while the box set will be priced at 7200 Yen (note that prices are listed without taxes). All three were sold during the Tokyo Game Show 2017 in limited quantities, but the commercial release date will be December 20, 2017.
Currently the only place to order is from the Japanese Square Enix store, but rumors have mentioned them being available in the European store later as well.

The release is priced at $42 and is scheduled to start shipping in Q1 2018.
Earlier this month Gamemusic Records revealed that they would be releasing Paul Anthony Romero’s “The Heroes Piano Sonatas” on vinyl – and now you can order it!
The release contains piano arrangements of music from the Heroes of Might & Magic series and is performed by Romero, who also originally composed the music for the games.
It is a live recording from a concert at Tofifest Film Festival in Poland on October 24, 2015.
The release will be a 2LP on 180g white vinyl and is housed in a gatefold jacket with artwork by Magdalena Katańska. The inside of the gatefold shows a portrait of and liner notes by Romero. The album is limited to 300 copies and the first 50 orders will be signed by Romero.
The Yetee have announced that they will be releasing the Timeline EP on vinyl. The Timeline EP is a collaborative effort between VGM cover band Marshall Art and VGM cover musician Cory Johnson.
The release features prog/post-rock style chiptune and guitar arrangements of tracks from The Legend Of Zelda series, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, and Undertale.
Followers of the artists might recognize the songs, but it’s worth noting that they have been completely re-recorded for this EP (except for MGLV from Undertale, which have instead been remixed and remastered for this release).
The release will be 45RPM 10″ on black vinyl with multicolor splatter. It comes in a single 10″ jacket and features new art by Drew Wise on the front and photography by Ami Moregore on the back.
