Today iam8bit announced that they will release the soundtrack to Moon Studios’ platforming adventure Ori And The Blind Forest on vinyl. The soundtrack is composed by Gareth Coker.
The release will be a 2LP 180g on blue and purple colored vinyl as well as a limited edition blue glow-in-the-dark vinyl variant (limited to 500 copies). The release will also feature brand new artwork by Aya Kakeda (see below). It will also include a download code for the digital soundtrack.
It is $35 for the colored version and $50 for the glow-in-the-dark version and they scheduled to release in Q3 2016 and can be preordered from iam8bit’s US store here and their UK store here starting tomorrow (April 29th).
Iam8bit have opened for preorders for the vinyl soundtrack to the newly released The Banner Saga 2. Like the first game in the series this soundtrack has also been composed by Austin Wintory and like with the vinyl soundtrack for the first game, the artwork here is also done by Arnie Jorgensen.
The soundtrack will be on 180g 2LP vinyl with one record on cream colored and one on black vinyl. The release has been mastered specifically for vinyl at Telegraph Mastering and the release comes with a download for the digital soundtrack.
The release is up for pre-order now for $40 and is scheduled to ship in Q3, 2016. You can pre-order from iam8bit’s US store or their UK store.

So far it’s just been announced that the first release will be Castlevania, which will be available at the San Diego Comic-Con in July. This likely means that a release for the general public will be available online shortly after (which is what they did with their The Last Of Us release).
But this is not today’s only announcement. iam8bit also announced that they will be releasing Petri Alanko’s Quantum Break soundtrack on vinyl. The release will be on 180g white with colored splatter vinyl and will feature new artwork by Christina Mrozik.
The release is limited to 3000 copies and is set for a Q3 2016 release.
Today iam8bit announced that they’re releasing Ben Prunty’s music for the Advanced Edition of FTL: Faster Than Light on vinyl.
The release will come on 180g “cosmic splatter” colored vinyl (similar to their release of the original FTL soundtrack, however with yellow splatter instead of green) and will feature new artwork by Leif Podhajsky on a metallic foil record jacket. The release will also come with a digital download of the music. The release is limited to 1000 copies and is set to release in Q2, 2016.
There’s been some confusion about the tracklist content so just to make it clear – all tracks on this release are different from the ones on the original FTL soundtrack.
Along with the release date announcement for No Man’s Sky earlier today (June 21 for those wondering) Iam8bit announced that they will release a series of merchandise items for the game – including a vinyl release of 65daysofstatic’s soundtrack.
The album will be released on 2 180g colored records – it appears one is light blue while the other is dark red. The cover art is done by Simon Stålenhag while the gatefold art is by Kuldar Leement.
The album will be priced at $35 and as of announcing it there is no hints on when it will be released.
The 2LP set will come on 180g blue and white marbled vinyl and the cover comes with original art by Filip Hodas (see mockups below). Both digital soundtracks will be included in the set. Pre-orders have opened now and the set is planned for a Q2, 2016 release.
Today iam8bit announced that they will be releasing Austin Wintory’s soundtrack to Stoic’s acclaimed Viking game, The Banner Saga.
The soundtrack will be released on a 2LP with one disc on blood red and the other on cream white 180g vinyl. The artwork was made specifically for the vinyl release by Arnie Jorgensen who worked as art director on The Banner Saga. This vinyl release also comes with a download for the full digital soundtrack.
Pre-orders will open January 21st and the record is expected to begin shipping in Q2 2016.
It can be pre-ordered through iam8bit’s US store here and their UK/EU store here.
The soundtrack is done by Maclaine Diemer, Lena Chappelle and Stan LePard and artwork for the vinyl version was done by Cory Schmitz. From the images provided (see below) it appears to be a 2LP on green splatter vinyl in a gatefold cover with printed inner sleeves. The score has been mastered specifcally for vinyl by Telegraph Mastering.
Additionally, ordering the soundtrack will give you a download link for the full digital soundtrack including bonus tracks.
The price is set at $40 and it is set to release in Q2 2016.
You can pre-order it from iam8bit here. EU customers might want to wait a bit as it is not yet up in iam8bit’s UK store.
Iam8bit have just announced that they will be releasing Lifeformed’s soundtrack to the game Dustforce on vinyl. From the mockup image (see below) it looks like it’ll be a single LP on clear translucent vinyl with swirl effect.

The soundtrack has been specifically mastered for vinyl by Telegraph Mastering Studio and with brand new art by Drew Wise. The album will come with a Steam code for the game and the full digital soundtrack and will be limited to 1000 copies.
